Blindside

Last Sunday the husband, the in-laws, and myself went to the theater to see Blindside.

The back story to the movie: a very large young man was basically an orphan and was pretty much homeless. A very rich family ended up adopting him. He became an incredible football player. That's it in a very small nutshell.

The movie was VERY good. It is definitely a must-see. It is very much a feel good story. The actors and actresses (Sandra Bullock!!) were great choices for each roll. I don't think they could have picked better people to play in the movie.

There was a book written based on this story. I am very interested in picking up a copy of the book and getting more details.

Again, I recommend everyone see the movie. 50% of the people in my party cried so it might be a good movie to get on DVD when it comes out. And I will let it be known that I was not one of the four of us who shed a tear during the movie. I am not sure how that is possible because I cry very easily when it comes to movies.

Have you seen this movie? What did you think? Have you read the book?

I have not read the book, but my husband and I saw the movie and both loved it. I thought Sandra Bullock was amazing and definitly deserved the Golden Globe she won.

PS Are you in the email list for the other KC bloggers? I think they're trying to set something up for a get togehter.

I haven't seen it yet, but the main character is based on one of my hometown's football players. I definitely want to see it, but I think I'm going to wait until it comes out on DVD.
